Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch!!!

A few weekend before Halloween we went out to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch. Shannon told us about this awesome place so we thought we would try it out even though it was pretty far from our house. This place was really neat and there was a lot to do for the kids and the best thing of all was it was all FREE!!!!! The parking was free, the face painting was free and all the other activities were free. They had a ton of bounce houses and hay rides and mazes for the kids. We will definitely be going back to this pumpkin patch next year. I hear they have a Christmas Tree farm and lots of things to do for Christmas starting the day after Thanksgiving so we will probably be checking that out. There are a ton of pictures on this post so enjoy!!!

Halloween Pj's

I haven' t blogged in a while but we really haven't been doing much around here. The weather has been cruddy lately so we have been in the house A LOT lately. I wanted to share some pictures of the really cute pajamas I bought the kids. The story behind these are really funny. We have a tradition in our house where every Saturday we go get donuts. One Saturday a mom walked in with 3 boys and a girl and they all had on these pajamas. The conversation between two boys made me laugh so hard. It was one of the best conversations I had ever heard. It went a little like this:
Boy 1: Can you believe people don't even know we have our pajamas on!
Boy 2: I know! It is crazy!
Boy 1: Yeah, do you have underwear on?
Boy 2: Yeah, what kind are yours?
Boy 1: Fruit of the Loooooom!

It was so funny because they thought they were so sneaky in their pj's and then boy 1 actually pulled his underwear out of his bottoms to show boy 2. I laughed about that all day.

So I found the pajama's at Gymboree! They both love wearing them and they glow in the dark. BONUS!!!

We have our annual Halloweenie Roast coming up on Halloween Night. We have permission this year from the City of Wylie Police Department so close down the street so it will be safer for the kids. We will have hot dogs and witches brew for all the kids and adults. I am pretty excited about it and will have plenty of pictures to post of the Roast!!!

Story Time

Every Wednesday Shannon takes the kids to Story Time at the Wylie Library. The kids absolutely LOVE story time!! Last week after every story and song Walker and Georgia were making everyone laugh by clapping and cheering after each story was read. This was Walker and Ellie this morning trying to patiently wait for 9:30 AM to get here so they could go. Apparently the theme in our house this morning was boots. Ellie had her pink ones on and Walker had on the Cow Rainboots. They didn't stay on very well and he couldn't walk very well in them but he thought they were really funny.

Our First Fishing Trip

Yesterday after we dropped Jason off at Dwayne's to go to the land the kids and I came home and went for a walk to see the ducks. There were some kids at the pond fishing and Ellie really got into the fish. I told her that night that after Dad got home we would go fishing and that we would get her her very own fishing pole. If she asked me about the fishing pole once she asked me a million times about it today.  So we headed to Wal-Mart and got the kids their very first fishing poles and a pack of $.88 hot dogs.  We headed to the pond right near our house about 6:45 this evening. Once we got the poles ready and the hooks were baited with hot dogs we were ready to toss them in. It was great!!! Right when we tossed them in we got bites. I bet we caught 20 little perch tonight. It was a lot of fun. Ellie was really into the fishing and believe it or not all Walker wanted to do was eat the hot dogs. He quickly realized they were not any good and went on his way. He mainly walked all over the place. I was hoping this would hold his interest more than it did but it sure didn't. After the first fish was caught he was done.  And of course it wouldn't be a great fishing trip unless someone fell in the water!!! Ellie fell in at the very end but after she quit crying she wanted to continue to fish. She was a muddy mess but I think she really had a good time.

My pictures are all out of order. As I was loading them I realized how I need to do it to get them in the right order but it's late so this is as good as it is going to get.

This was at the very end after Ellie had fallen in the water.

Look how muddy she got. Poor thing!!

We had one fish on that broke the line on her princess pole so at this point we were fishing with Walker's Spiderman pole!
This is what Walker wanted to do most of the night.
