Painting with Pudding!!!

Shannon had a great idea yesterday to let the kids play with pudding! She made vanilla pudding and colored it with food coloring. She put the kids in little swimmers and let them have at it!  They loved it. Ellie mostly painted Walker and Walker mostly ate the pudding. He finally has is appetite back.  Shannon said after she took the spoons away (apparently those can also be called "weapons") then Walker just kept shoveling it in with his hands. It was about 82 degrees her yesterday so a great day to play outside.

Just getting started

Ellie loves to color herself with everything and anything
My little man is so serious about everything.
Mmmmm......pudding!
Oh my heavens, she was a mess!!!
Walker finally had enough
Ellie all finished!
Time for a little rub a dub dub....two Lieberts in a tub!
Oh, he LOVES bath time!
Shannon said it was hard to get the pudding off their faces but in the end they came out squeaky clean.

Mud Pie Anyone?

The weather was really nice here on Sunday so we decided to see if Ellie would play outside by herself.  Jason was out there for a little while picking up stuff in the yard and making sure we didn't have any huge ant beds.  He slipped inside and she continued to play outside for a good hour and a half.  I didn't realize what Ellie was doing until I got a really good look in the back yard. Apparently she found the mud and thought that would be loads of fun to play in.  Walker was taking a nap at this time so he missed out on all the fun. Can you imagine how much of the mud he would have eaten? Walker is still refusing to crawl but he is starting to go from his belly to sitting up. That is a huge step for us. He will also walk if you hold his hands. He doesn't go very far but he is making progress.

Ellie throwing mud.
Making mud cookies!
She thought Wrigley might like some mud in his water.
She was a mess. I put her in a laundry basket and then took her to the bathroom where we stripped her naked and put her in the shower. She had so much fun!!
The mud was packed in her nails and all in her hair!
Making sure Wrigley has just enough mud!
She will be real upset when this all dries up!
Ellie checking out her masterpiece!
Lovin' the mud!
This is actually a picture taken early on. She got way more dirty than this picture shows.

They are getting so stinking big!!!!

On Friday's our nanny, Shannon, usually takes the kids out and about so they are not stuck in the house all week. It was really nice here all week, except for the wind blowing like crazy.  You would think, me being from Odessa, that I would be used to the wind but...nope... I hate it. I had to be at work early on Friday so Shannon got the kids dressed and then took some pictures of them before they left.  You can't tell from these pictures but Walker has not been feeling well all week. We took him to the doctor last Saturday and he has gotten the strep and a right ear infection. So he has been on antibiotics all week. He also has been throwing up a lot this week. When I say a lot, I mean large spit ups about 3 or 4 times a day. He doesn't want to eat, has been coughing and had a runny nose all week. I called the pediatrician on Friday and they said to bring him in today. Once everyone got up we went to the doctor. It turns out Walker has RSV. It is not real serious right now because it is not in his respiratory system but we have to watch him closely.  My poor little man is pretty miserable. Oh, he also has reflux. We are on some prevacid for that. I just feel so sorry for him.  Ellie has been doing a lot better. She finished her antibiotics tonight and is feeling so much better. She is talking so much now. It is really cute to hear what she has to say.
